The Virtual Dystopia app was made for the year 11 'Read To Write' English unit. Students, when using the app, see what a character might within a dystopian environment. They will then write one of 3 pieces. Either an informative piece about what happened to the world, a persuasivepiece about which road they will go down and why, or a creative piece about how the character got to where they are. The immersion of the Virtual Dystopia app should also help them better empathise with the characters and worlds they study in the Read to Write: Dystopia unit.

What went well - Visual style, optimisation, functionality, accessibility

What could have been done better - More elements to see. I ran out of time doing this project, more elements and points of interest would have been good to further flesh out environment and give the students more to work with in their responses or narratives.
